Newsletter Autumn 2004

  • On Saturday October 23th we had a meeting with 500 Jewish and Arab believers in Christ. This meeting was a great success. We were responsible for the children and youth program. We are really blessed with the fellowship and love that we noticed amongst the participants who came from different churches and backgrounds. Four  couples of a different background came and were a good witness to all of us.  Our King's Kids performed that day and they taught a dance to many children who performed with them.

  • We took a step of faith and started preparing the room for computers in the basement of our house. It was still full with all kinds of books, Bibles and children's presents.  Therefore we ordered two cupboards and today we started arranging things inside them. We will also have four tables for the computers ready by the end of the week.

  • Praise God for the healing of an 11 year-old girl, who was diagnosed with leukemia. She had tests before her first chemo therapy, but to the amazement of the doctors the tests showed the leukemia had gone! Thanks for your prayers!

  • Groups and people from different countries are visiting the House of Light nowadays to pray for us and see what's going on and this is a great encouragement.

  • For the first time we will also get visitors from the Monastery in Tabgah on the sea of Galilee. They were amazed by our group of House of Light members, together with the King's Kids staying at their resort. They took many photos, then wrote a newsletter in German and now they will come to visit. A group from Germany who read the Newsletter also wants to come too.

  • Our Christian psychologist has started her work again on Monday Nov. 1st. She needs prayers for heavenly wisdom as well as for support. My daughter Ranaa', who is a brand new psychologist herself, and I will be translating her to her clients who are all regular visitors to the House of Light.
  • We're so glad to have our Dutch volunteers Ies and Jeane back after their holiday in the Netherlands. They are of great help, especially since we are rearranging quite some things at the House of Light.
  • Our German volunteer Johannes is also really a great servant of the Lord and he's a great help to us. He always likes everything and enjoys everything. May the Lord continue to bless him.
  • Prison visits are back to normal and Anis was blessed by having private time with the ones who gave their life to Jesus a year or more ago. However, the Holy Spirit revealed that there is still sin in their lives and they prayed for repentance. This month we will be visiting two prisons with visitors who work in this ministry in the United States and they wrote and asked if they can join. Praise the Lord for getting permissions. We will also start preparing for Christmas group visits as we want to sing and share the gospel as well as take presents for the prisoners. We pray for the right people with the right attitude to join as well as the finances for presents. We also pray for open hearts and for salvation of multitudes. The number of prisoners that we will reach, including foreign prisoners (mainly workers who overstayed their visas) is around 800-900. May the Lord set them free.
  • We are still working on the extra room for the children in our basement. Soon it will be ready and we pray for furniture such as chairs, a TV with DVD-player and a cupboard for the toys and games.
  • "From the fullness of His grace we (you and us) have all received on Blessing after another." Yes He piles up a stack of blessings for those who worship Him and we trust your prayers let these blessings flow through you to us. Thank you and have a special joyous life in His care.
